  A. Article Street Photography as a Medium for Storytelling According to James Maher, simply put, street photography is a photo genre that prioritizes candidness in capturing human views. Several other definitions add the location factor, where the photos taken must be in a public space. It doesn't always have to be on the street as the name of the genre suggests, but it can also be in a closed space as long as it's in a public space. Because of this definition, I don't really like the Indonesian equivalent, namely Street Photography. Returning to the definition that includes location, this photo genre is not only limited to the street. I discovered this genre around 2010, but at that time I was just an admirer.
